Hola todos! I wish to pose a question!

Do you train outside of class and if so how often/much?

Not sure if anyone has gotten back to you on this yet but there is a kind of a workout/conditioning class on Thursdays at Eastern.

You know what happens? You get a movement in your head and out of nowhere you’ll try it and work on it ’til it starts to look right. Some times it’s while you’re at home, other times…
I play capoeira with my kids, my poor dog can esquiva, and it take a lot of restraint to stop myself from practicing at work. Though I have been upside down during a conference call… (Handstands happen)
I could do more, especially with instruments, but yes. I train outside of class.

That is a must, if you really want to progress in Capoeira.
Some suggestions:

Next time you go to the restroom at your place go walking on your hands
Watch TV while doing either a Bananeira (hand stand) or on a Esquiva or Negativa
Try to use a Benção, Ponteira or Martelo to turn on/off light switches
Find a dog to train your Ginga (they are the best for that)
Always use a Rolê to stand up from the floor
Stay in Cocorinha for as long as possible before sitting on the floor
Use the window (opened for sure) of your car to train Bençãos
Always use your foot to tap your friend in the shoulder (Martelos are great for that)

We can keep on going here

:)

Hi, I’m starting an MBA at Savannah State University, I wonder if any one can give information if there are still training here in Savannah, and if so, what are the classes schedules. I have been training in Colombia for almos 3 years now with Capoeira nagô, and I would like to continue training while I’m here. Thanks and Axé.

Daniel,

The classes in Savannah are cancelled right now. I think Mestre is trying to start something up again, but I am not sure how that is going at the moment. :(
